The Choir
Shower to Stage Choirs offer a highly unique singing experience. It is, as its tag line proclaims “Inspiring. Uplifting. Empowering.”
In 2025 we will have four choirs! A Men's Shower to Stage choir; a Women's Shower to Stage Choir; the One Voice Choir (a rolling membership made up of invited past and current choir members) who promote the charity and perform regularly and a Community Choir.

The exciting challenge for our Choir Director Liz is to teach both the men's and women's choirs the same songs but with different harmonies and on separate evenings so when they meet before the gala evening they hear for the first time how they will sound as a full choir. There are happy tears all round at this point!

Shower to Stage 2024-the BIG performance

There is understandably a lot of interest surrounding the events which adds to the excitement! The 2024 event took place at the prestigious ‘Pengelly Barn' near Truro to allow for the larger number of guests wanting tickets. The photo on the right is our One Voice Choir singing at PRIDE in St Ives in 2024.

We would LOVE you to join one of our choirs. You don't need to be able to sing, or even to audition so there's no need to be anxious. It's a win/win! But together, we can help to make a difference to more people in Cornwall with their mental health.

The Shower to Stage Choirs have swelled in number to over three times the size of the first event and now include, not only the Shower to Stage Choirs, but also 2 others choirs. Such is the popularity, that we have created the Community Choir and One Voice choir for you to join.
The next event will be held in October 2025. We will be taking new choir members (ALL genders and ages) from February 2025.
The 1st meeting where you can find out all the details, is on Wednesday 12th February 2025 at Victoria Inn, Threemilestone @ 7pm. Everyone is welcome. wed'd love to see you there.
How do I join?
We aim to build confidence, encourage aspiration and to inspire people to challenge themselves by building skills and experiencing a sense of accomplishment through increased self-belief and confidence.
We have weekly rehearsals and engage with people from remote locations covering some of the most deprived areas of Cornwall.
Our choirs are a mixture of people from all walks of life. All the choirs have low barrier participation with no fees, no uniform and no auditions so are accessible and inclusive, encouraging people from very different social and economic backgrounds to form strong bonds and make lasting friendships.
